winos.lol is a consumer lifestyle app (web PWA now; native iOS and Android wrappers in progress). It helps people scan wine labels, keep a cellar, write tasting notes, save memories of nights out, follow friends, and optionally pair with a partner for a shared couple space.

The product thesis: traditional wine software organizes wine around an individual user or a bottle database. winos.lol organizes wine around **people, relationships, shared discovery, shared taste, and memories**. The feeling we want is “this is our wine app,” not “this is another wine database.”

Solo use is first-class. You do not need a partner. Couples are the strongest differentiated experience.

## What it is not

- Not a wine delivery, shipping, or e-commerce store.
- Not a restaurant reservation product.
- Not a professional sommelier certification or scoring authority.
- Not a public social network that exposes relationships by default.
- Not live on the Apple App Store or Google Play yet. The store badge currently deep-links to the waitlist / download page unless an App Store URL is configured.

Dynamic demo/detail routes exist for wines, tastings, memories, and challenges (`/app/wine/[slug]`, `/app/tasting/[slug]`, `/app/memory/[slug]`, `/app/challenges/[slug]`). Those are product UI, not a public catalog of real-world inventory.

- **Scan and log:** Photograph the front and back of a bottle. Recognition uses on-account vision (Cloudflare Workers AI by default; optional OpenAI override). Catalog lookup may use Open Food Facts. Do not bind the product to a single recognition vendor in copy.
